February Full of Finn Action in Australia

February in Australia has been dominated by racing in the Finn class. The month began with the 2026 International Finn Australian Championship, followed by the prestigious 2026 International Porsche Center Brisbane 2026 Finn Gold Cup. Tomorrow, the final major event of this busy period, the Finn World Masters, begins and will run from 20 to 27 February 2026.

2026 International Finn Australian Championship

The 2026 International Finn Australian Championship brought together 83 sailors for 10 races. Brendan Casey (AUS) won the title, ahead of Rafael Trujillo (ESP) in second place and Ian McKillop (AUS) in third.

Porsche Center Brisbane 2026 Finn Gold Cup

The 2026 International Finn Gold Cup at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron featured 67 sailors and 10 races. The competition was very close.

Before the final day, Norway’s Anders Østre Pedersen was leading by just one point. At the start of the regatta, he looked like the clear favorite, winning five races in a row. However, in the end, it was Italy’s Alessandro Marega who claimed victory, finishing seven points ahead of Pedersen after the final races.

Brendan Casey of Australia completed the podium in third place.
